• Research shows there is great value in a family counseling model, including ongoing connectedness to multiple student families. It is with this in mind that we are serving all students K to 12 according to alphabetical assignment.

Beginning this school year, your students will be assigned their school counselor according to their last name.  Please refer to the list below:

Our guidance program will be aligned to the American School Counselor Association ASCA student standards including mindsets and behaviors for student success. These standards describe the knowledge, attributes and skills students need to achieve academic success, college and career readiness and social emotional development. We will incorporate Mindfulness practice as a tool for total well-being. Character Education will be another central tenant of the guidance program

School Counselor for all students last name K to Z

    Hello Parents and Students,

I am excited to welcome you and your children back for the 2024-25 school year at The Ahfachkee School.

I am Adriana Murgueytio one of the school counselors and I am happy to be a part of Ahfachkee’s Guidance Department.

I'd like to share that I have been in education for 28 years and have worked within the field of Guidance and Counseling for 19 years.

I do enjoy working with students; however, I also like listening to all types of music, exercising, traveling, and want to learn how to paddle board.

I have three daughters who I am very proud of.

While working with my assigned elementary, middle and high school students I will be dedicated to promoting growth and success in several areas.   Some of those areas of focus will be academic success, social emotional support, and career/college awareness.  It is important for me to meet and talk to each one of my students.  I will do this either through individual, small group and/or large group meetings.

I’m excited and I look forward to seeing the students and I invite you to reach out to me should you have any questions or concerns or if you just want to stop by to say, "Hello!"

Looking forward to a wonderful school year!
